Pre-Course Homework: Once you register you must click on "My Courses" on the top menu bar and then click on "Assignments" to complete the first of two homework assignments for EACH course you register for. The first assignment is pre-course work called: 'Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments'.

Post-Course Homework: After the in-person class is completed you will then log back in and click on "My Courses" on the top menu bar and then click on "Assignments" to completed the second of two homework assignments for EACH course you registered for within 12 days of taking the in-person class. The second assignment is post-course work called: 'Page of Experience'.

You must do the above two steps for each course you take regardless of completing them for past #v# courses.

7v7 In-Person Course Details

The 7v7 In-Person Course is a four-hour course that builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer's Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer's Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 9-10. The course will also ask each candidate to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth.

Eligibility Requirements:
In order to register for the 7v7 In-Person Course, candidates must have completed U.S. Soccer's Introduction to Grassroots Coaching module. This module can be accessed here: https://dcc.ussoccer.com/courses/available/16/details/1546

The 9v9 In-Person Course is a four-hour course that builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer's Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer's Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 11-12. Coach Licensing Policy for Methuen Youth Soccer Coaches:

MYSA will cover the cost of coach education courses under the US Soccer 2019 Pathway as listed below upon completion of the course. Coaches must submit their purchase receipt and license to receive reimbursement.

All other Grassroots in person courses - 50%
National D course and up - 0%
