COACH TRAINING
Suggested Course Levels by Division:
Grassroots 4v4 - U6 or U8 Coaches
Grassroots 7v7 - G4 Coaches
Grassroots 9v9 - G6 Coaches
Grassroots 11v11 - G8 and PG Coaches
ECY is holding courses in the Spring 2023 Pre-Season:
- Mass Youth has posted some courses this spring and some are in the ECYSA footprint and close to the ECYSA footprint. https://www.mayouthsoccer.org/coaches/upcoming-education-courses/
- Grade 4 coaches, ECYSA encourages all new coaches to take the online Grassroots coaching 7v7 class, prior to the ECYSA Spring 2023 Coaches Meeting.
- A change from US Soccer for those wishing to go for a National D License. It is now: To progress to the USSF D license, you need to watch the Introduction to Grassroots Module, complete One (1) Grassroots Online (4v4, 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11), and complete Two (2) Grassroots In-Person (4v4, 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11). Coach Licensing Policy for Methuen Youth Soccer Coaches:
MYSA will cover the cost of coach education courses under the US Soccer 2019 Pathway as listed below upon completion of the course. Coaches must submit their purchase receipt and license to receive reimbursement.
Up to Two Grassroots Online courses - 100%
One Grassroots in person course - 100%
All other Grassroots in person courses - 50%
All other Grassroots Online courses - 0%
National D course and up - 0%
